Pedagogical Internship [Belgium]


 

European Schoolnet is currently looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and autonomous colleague to join the European School Education Platform and eTwinning team in Brussels as a Pedagogical Intern. During the 6-month internship the successful candidate will contribute to tasks related to creating and implementing professional development opportunities for teachers. The internship offers a versatile opportunity to work in an international non-profit organisation and closely with topics related to teaching and learning in a digitalised world. An employment offer is possible upon a successful completion of the internship.

MAIN TASKS:

An internship position is available in the pedagogical team responsible for the development of activities on the European School Education Platform and eTwinning. Tasks may include:

  • Assist with planning and delivering professional development opportunities to teachers, both face-to-face (training courses and workshops) and online (e.g., via MOOCs and webinars), including course design, content creation and moderation.
  • Support in the organization of the eTwinning annual conference, professional development workshops and other thematic conferences.
  • Assist with identifying, designing and drafting pedagogical materials and content, such as teaching resources and lesson plans.
  • Assist with the drafting of monitoring reports and other publications (analysing data, conducting interviews etc)
  • Give support to animation of communities and networks of teachers.
  • Any other relevant tasks.

PROFILE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., pedagogy, education science).
  • Understanding of pedagogical issues and ability to deploy them in materials and processes to be used by end-users.
  • Experience in online learning and distance education
  • Knowledge about learning management systems (preferably Moodle)
  • Experience of working in a school or with teachers desirable
  • Experience in research methods desirable
  • Excellent level of computer literacy (MS Office), with experience using educational technology
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong communication, language and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills, positive attitude, and interest in learning by doing.

OFFER AND CONDITIONS

  • Duration: 6-month internship starting in June 2023. Full-time working schedule from Monday to Friday.
  • Benefits: A stipend of 1100 €/month net for the duration of the internship and travel expenses support to commute.
  • Teleworking: Possibility to work three days from home from per week, and a limited number of days to telework from abroad.
  • Renewal: Upon successful achievement, the internship can be followed by a CDD (Contract Duration Determinée – a fixed-term contract).
  • Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium. The position requires living in Belgium.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be EU citizens or possess a valid work permit for Belgium.
